Boka «Afrika kan fø seg selv»
På ulike måter viser de 27 forfatterne i boka "Africa Can Feed Itself" at Afrika helt klart kan fø seg selv, dersom de riktige politiske og økonomiske betingelsene er til stede. Forfatterne er politikere, aktivister og vitenskapsmenn fra Afrika, Norge og Europa.
Konferansen «Can Africa Feed Itself?» ble holdt i Oslo 6.-8. juni 2007 med fokus på hva slags landbruk som trengs i Afrika for at kontinentet kan fø sin egen befolkning. Landbruksutvikling og miljiø, fattigdom, klimaspørsmål, økologisk landbruk, organisering av bønder er stikkord for hvilke tema som ble diskutert.
Alle bidragene under konferansen er gjengitt i boka.
